Control Arm - Rubber Bushing Replacement?
Can someone tell me if it is necessary to remove / replace the metal sleeve in the aluminum control arm when replacing the rubber bushings?
I have a set of new replacement bushings (rubber) from Paragon Products. Anyone know if these bushings press into the metal sleeves that reside in the factory aluminum control arms? Or is it necessary to remove the metal sleeves that are apearantly STUCK into the aluminum control arms?

Yup, they gotta come out.
What I did, since they have a lip that sits against the arm, is put them in a bench vice, crank the vice down really hard so that it bites into JUST that lip (not the arm itself, be careful), then grab the end of the arm and twist back and forth. Eventually it will work its way out if you try and twist and lift at the same time. Worked well enough for me I suppose.
