Actually I think the whole idea of setting a notebook in the rear of the car or in the back seat and running a smaller lcd monitor is way better than a handheld device.

Here you go. This is the smallest PC I have ever used. It works great and runs windows XP right out of the box. It is made by OQO. http://www.oqo.com This thing would be great for data logging and will run any software written for XP.

por4ever, thanks for the links to mp3car.com. A lot of good info there and in their forum. Didn't even have a clue these dedicated car computers existed. More than enough hp to run a monitoring/tuning program without having to worry about your laptop flying all over the place + you could also install a nav program etc.
