this winter's project.,..
It's going to make me broke. What do you guys think?
I started taking my car apart to finally attend to some lingering minor issues, safety upgrades, mods, etc. I decided to pull the motor so I can replace all the seals and attend to every oil leak. It's a good time to clean up my dirty white engine bay also.
Anyway the list of "to-do's" were adding up quick in my head as I began removing things so I decided to write down the list 2:40am and I just got done writing:
Move battery to rear spare wheel well
Add cut off switch
Replace all engine oil seals
Make brackets for smaller GM alternator
New MAF/MAP (VT or Greddy eManage)
Eliminate coolant crossover pipe
All new coolant hoses
All new vacuum hoses
New motor mounts (solid)
Replace T- belt
Pull engine
Remove A/C (maybe, it works great now)
Remove balance shafts (again a maybe)
Install roll cage, fixed back seats, 5pt. belts, new steering wheel
Custom exhaust with separate WG dump
Wrap all turbo/header pipes
Insulate all wires for heat
New fuel lines
AOS catch can
New PS lines (or go manual)
New heater blower motor cover
A better clutch (something that can take more hp then the cup clutch)
Replace turbo oil feed filter (so cheap but CAN'T forget this)
Waterpump (probably very easy with the engine out so might as well)
VS wasted spark
Replace all brake pads and fluid
Install intake man. studs
Replace/remove under hood insulation pads
Remove interior and ALL padding/sound material/dead weight
Add car PC w/ mounted 7" LCD for tuning
Im sure this list will get bigger before it gets smaller
That just the main list of things I need to do this winter. I'm starting a second list of things to do IF those get done and I'm not yet bankrupt.
Fiberglass roof panel ( I hate the power moonroof I never open anyway)
fiberglass GT rear bumper
Fixed headlights
Vented nose panel
LEDA or Escort suspension (depends on my funds)
GT35r turbo
Side skirts
Roll fenders
Fit widest rear tires possible with above
eh I'll jsut stop there.

That's a lot of work!!! you better get started now...I did the battery relocate to the wheel well and if I had it to do over, I would have used the well in the rear quarter instead. I used 2 gauge welding cable from mcmaster-carr and soldered on terminals to make sure enough juice made it to the starter. Ice Shark (RIP), insisted I wouldn't get away with the cable size, but it works for my car, and the heated garage it stays in in the winter.
