Ok, i know its not my car, but it has the drivers side fender removed. the area with the box around it is where that jack point is, i know everyone knows where it is :-P. well, my car is rusting on the side between the knuckle and the fender. the knuckle is actually pushed up maybe a half inch as well. i cut the same portion off of a 944 at a junk yard that was in rust free condition, and when i had a personal friend who owns a body shop (i trust his work) look at it, he turned it down because he said it would be a lot of work. he mentioned that since it was located at that jack piont, sleeves would have to be made to go inside the frame by the drivers foot, bascially right beside the dead pedal. ill update this in a sec, gotta get back on the internet!
