Question GT Racing nose fitment

Spent a couple hours fitting my nose panel tonight (vented/HL delete). My question is in regards to the front mounting points above the bumper. Are the tabs supposed to fit under the sheet metal as the stock one does or are they supposed to sit on top? I'm working at the shop tonight and my bumper cover is at home. With the tabs underneath it hangs too low and doesn't line up with the bottom edge of the fenders. If I remove material to make it line up, the tabs will be too thin for attachment. If it goes on top, I can add material inside and grind the bottom to fit. If anybody has fitted one of these themselves I would appreciate your input so I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Mine sits on top of the tabs but took a good amount of work to look perfect. The tabs do become thin so use washers or a metal strip.

Mine fits under and fits well.
try bending /trimming the sheet metal a little so you get the fit desired.
You can also play with the height ajustments and adjust the bumper to give you a decent fit.
