"I am interested in a 10k engagement ring "

What, are you CRAZY? You KNOW that "10% of a year's salary" guideline is just a scam by the jewelers, right? This girl must be able to suck a grapefruit through a garden hose!

Just kidding from a guy hitched 10+ years, best of luck with it.

That's a good one ..
I've heard of the chrome off the bumper.... but that 's a new one to me
Wishing you the very best of luck aixgelo78
With the way things are going today you'll need it .. 1 outta 3
Maybe I am a little tainted ?
Can't really blame me though ...
With what my ex walked off with.. Make that ran off with )..
I could have a Carrera GT and then some ..actually.... a lot of some, come to think of it ...

Dude - that's crazy.
You are setting a trend that she will expext FOREVER.
If she knows you are trading your car for her ring and lets you do it, she is selfish.
Getting married doesn't mean you instantly have to cut your ***** off, kido.
And every guy on this forum who has been married for more than 10 years (like me) is thinking the same thing.

Dude - that's crazy.
I know what you mean, but I need to do it this way because cars is where I always "kept" my savings. dont get me wrong, I love cars, she doesnt need a 10k ring, but I want her to have one. Ive been there and done that, now its time to settle down a bit, save some money then get another car down the line. Thankx for the advise, I guess its a spur of a moment thing, if I dont sell it, no big deal, Ill try again in the spring. Ill just sell my truck now instead . I know shes it we have been together a whole month already with no problems.
I love the car, thats why I dont even want to drive it, I might decide to keep it.

thankx chris

Finance the ring. Keep the Turbo. You will regret/resent selling the Turbo later.
