Default ECU

Hi I have an 88 turbo s that has been in storage & won't start. My mechanics have gone over the motor & believe it is a Motronic ECU problem. ECU units seem to be very rare & they have suggested we source a rebuilt unit. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Before you go purchase a DME, see if you can borrow one to test. The flywheel sensor(s) could be bad and not the DME.

Are you getting fuel or spark?

There are many DMEs for sale.. You need a 28-pin DME so you use your 28-pin chip. 28-pin DMEs are a bit hard to find, but you can use a 24-pin DME, and have someone convert your 28-pin chip to 24-pin.

jdevil- the guy above knows MUCH, MUCH more about your DME than the guys who are currently working on it.
Keep that in mind.
