That link is posted a few posts above yours...
Thanks anyway. I've been in touch with them and the car sounds just a bit fishy. Price is on the high side but I don't have time so I'd ****** it up. It comes with no records, and appears to have had some body work performed. They're not the best at getting back to me either, and the car's missing a few pieces, bad signs...

Yes I know, saying no to red rules out a lot of cars. If I didn't drive so hard on the street, or could make it a track only car, perhaps it wouldn't bother me so much, as I do like how it looks on the car...
Anyway, as for the speakers and equalizer, equalizer/head unit would be dumped in a heartbeat, however the speakers are easy to replace. Getting larger speakers to fit on a "regular" 944 is not quite as easy...

On my black 88 951S I replaced the head unit with an Alpine, bypassed the equalizer, but still used the factory amp and 10 speakers. I am more than satisfied as the upgrade was less than $300, and the quality and volume of sound is more than adequate given the ambient sound level in the car. My spealkers were fine.

Dave, I've sent you an e-mail before, but it appears I sent it to the wrong address. Let me know if you get this one (sent about 2 mins ago).
