Are you using some other gauge to read it more accurately?

I think it varies based on location, altitude, etc. and how warm the engine is. I'm not aware of any other lines going into the car other than the ones on the rear firewall that have something to do with controls on the heater and a/c inside.

If it reads 1 Bar at idle, you have a serious vacuum leak. I don't look at the stock gauge anymore, but my ZT-2 shows ~18 in hg which is ~0.6 Bar. This means that the stock gauge should be at max vacuum (all the way to the left).

yeah, mine reads at the first little bar from the left when i first start up the car, after that, it reads all the way to the left at idle. 1 bar at idle cannot be good....

Alex sorry to hear about your car.....as for me getting closer to ahappy point. Still little things that get to me....suspension needs setup and now a coolant leak after i had it bled at nordan. As usual car is there not getting in due to others cars going in first. 944's the basterd child. So what your plans with the car ?? I was going to see if I could borrow your klr and me to see if any thing changes in my car.
