Default 3" Downpipe

Ok I have to replace my exhaust pipe that contains the cat since its rusted and has has a whole in it. I was planning on getting the 3" testpipe from SFR since I already have their 3" cat back. What I was wondering is should I also get the 3" downpipe while Im at it? Will the downpipe get me faster spool up?

SFR has two versions of the 3'' exhaust. If you want the DP, then you have to get the more expensive true 3'' one. The other one narrows down to match the stock DP. But I think that this is something you should only mess with once, so I'd get the 3'' DP too.

The DP will help a little in spool and will be more of an issue if you start really raising the horsepower.

I'd absolutely get the 3" downpipe. It's on my list of stuff for the 951 - along with their entire 3" s.s. exhaust setup. It's soooooo sweet. Sounds awesome too - especially with a Flowmaster or Borla.
