I need a new clutch...which one?
Well its time for a new clutch but which one should I get. I only use the car on the street and I am working on getting the car to about 300 to 350 RWHP.
I see Lindsey has the Spec kits and SFR has the Clutchmaster kits. Will a regular Sachs OE kit be just fine?

You need a real clutch on that car.
The organic disk will slip at 375 RWTQ.
I do not like the Spec clutch because it is very light and therefore not progressive.
The KEP is very heavy, but very easy to modulate. I like the KEP, but some people (like that ballbuster Rolex) like the Spec.
You cannot have your cake and eat it too with these clutches.

You could opt for a 930 disc (same dimensions) instead of the Cup disc both of which Paragon sells. I believe it is a bit cheaper and has more material. I was leaning towards this option along with a KEP for my near future clutch job on the turbo. Chris White at 944Enhancement sells a plethora of different material discs: ceramic, steel, kevlar, organics, etc.
Special Tool, would any organic disc start to slip at 375RWTQ or just organic discs with the stock Pressure Plate?

I always thought for those of us with mildly modded 951's (< than 350 rwhp) a good combo is the Cup pressure plate and the 930 disc, I thought it was a 911 disc but I confuse easily. All I know is the Spec 2 hasn't gotten good reviews as far as driveability around town but is great for track time. He has to do something very quick so let's help him decide.

Join the club, mine finally took a dump today. I've been doing a lot of searching and finally just decided to go with the cup clutch. The consensus from all the top techs (Tom Charlesworth and others) is that the cup setup should handle up toabout 400rwhp.

I second clutchnet. Their prices seem very good as well. Tim at SFR deffinitely knows waht he's talking about. I also recall that special tools car couldn't get close to that with those parts,or maybe just something similarm and I "think" David Floyyd had similar issues with lesser clutches, like the cup disk. That's just thrown in so you might be able to pm and ask them what really happended. I know you don't want to be disappointed, nor do this twice.
As for spec you can search that here pretty easily. Dime 951 (eric) has installed a spec and pp, and has told me that he gets lots of chatter, which seems to be consensus on some of their various stages.

The KEP pressure plate is a great upgrade with either a cup or 930 disc and with more power go with a copper/ceramic 6 puck.
KEP states there pp and stock disc is good for 600 ft lbs

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will give Clutchnet a call but the Cup clutch seems to be what I need. I hope I can get one by Tuesday.

Get a KEP pp and a disk from clutchnet.com A sprung center, 6 button would be very a strong setup for high HP and Track. RACING 6 BUTTON “E-Z LOCK” ™ SPRUNG HUB CLUTCH DISC

Having said that, I do like it, nice and strong but.... would be a pain in stop and go traffic.

Actually the Spec 3 is "ok", but compared to the KEP, it isn't as good. I agree with ST, the KEP is heavier, but it's more progressive and easier to modulate. The Spec 3, at least to me, is weird. It's a very "on/off" kind of feel. In the future, I'm going to get a KEP, especially if my car makes some decent power, but that yet remains to be seen.
