Default rod knocking

im buying a 1986 short block rebuilt with forged connecting rods ,raceware headstuds,pistons ,rings, crank and rod bearings...from what i have been reading it looks as if the top of my motor will finish this motor to be put into my car ..is there anything i should do while i am there with out going crazy ...ive already dumped a ton of money into this car and i just want to get it realiable to track again. any info will be much appreciated

What is the pan baffle situation on the rebuilt motor? Something to think about for prevention of oil cavitation and rod bearing failure in the future.
