Hey Guys:
I know this topic has been recently talked about before, but for some reason I couldn't find it with the search feature. Proabably because I'm not using the proper words? So instead, I thought I'd make a post and see if I can get some advice here. My goal is to have the maxium tire size for my car for street application only at this point, tracking will be addressed in the future.
Currently, I have a package deal I bought from Wheel Enhancement over a year ago. I have the RH 18" 3.6 C2 Turbo Wheels w/Bridgestone S03 - front 225/40ZR & rear 265/35ZR set-up. I'm wondering what's the biggest size tires I can fit on the back without doing any modifications to the fenders? I know 275s can fit in there, because Special Tool has them on his car that sits in that beautiful shop of his. But I want to know if I can fit 285s? Also, it should be noted too that the car is lowered about 1.5 inches. If need be, I "may" consider rolling the fenders underneath to get bigger tires, but I prefer not to if possible. So based on everything I said above, I welcome everyone's thoughts on this.
Thanks in advance.

I certainly don't get near your power levels but I run 275-40(10") and 255-40(9") in 17". I get a very slight front rub on the fronts in hard downhill/braking while cornering. The rears could still fit a wider tire with plenty of room to spare. It's all a matter of correct offset in fitting larger tires.

Depends on how crazy you want to go with the wheels. A 285 or 295/30R18 should be fairly easy to fit.

CCW's are nice for the money and they are coming out with newer one piece ones too.

Would this offset work on an 87 +? Pretty good price on Supercups...

Rob, not to sure of your offset...we run 255/40 and 275/40 on the track car and she is lowered at least 1.5 if not a tad more. But we have 750 and 650# springs F/R.

I have ran 315 nitto drag radials in the past on my forgelines. They are late offset and I have a early car but with some spacers they fit, although if you live in the country like me trips to town are slow due the rubbing on the inside on my car. They rubbed on the inside in the front part of the wheel well.

I run 285/30 MPSC rears on 18x10" wide ET65 BBS wheels. Stock fendered car, way low, no rub. There is so much room it isn't even funny. Run 265/35 fronts on 8.5 rims. I could go wider, but the rules won't allow, and it won't make me faster.
Next year I'm using RA-1s. 245/40 and 275/35 rear. Car will be faster I bet with less tire. But if you are all about the bling . . .

Rolex,
There may be some more useful info in this thread:

Please see attached picture. 18" Carrera Lightweights (8 & 10x 18) with Pirelli PZero Corsa 225/35 and 295/30, lowered, will not clear a beer can on it's side. 550# frt springs 700# rear no torsion bars, Carrera coilovers and Rennbay geometry correcting ball joint kit. Proper maintenance has been included. No problem and handles very nicely. ![rockon](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/rockon.gif)
