I own a H1, may I join this club?? Unfortunately (?) it's only 500 cc and doesn't rev 13k or consume N2O... And it's a later model with longer swingarm and therefore doesn't do wheelies as easily as the older ones.

ST, when are you posting the promised video?

You have to consider us Scandinavians who are stuck in the snow until June.. Give us something to aspire for..

I just got snow too - in fact I ran into a drift that was 4 feet tall today with my ATV and almost did a flip.

Roads should be nice and clean later in the week.

Skunk, man!
you surprise me

Maybe it's the english language
Read my post slowly and carefully; all I did was address exactly what you commented on!

By the way, on a turbo engine I would consider VE anything after the turbo and intercooler have done their job. There'a a certain absolute pressure/density ratio available in the intake manifold (created by an independant system, if you will) and now the engine's VE will determine how much of that actually gets into the cylinders.
On the other hand, NA engines' VE gets affected by everything from the air filter all the way to the clylinders(available absolute pressure is ambient).

I thought this was a thread about 100km/h - 200km/h runs.

Any day now - more ice the other day.
When it snows here, they dump SALT all over the roads - so I wait a little for that to subside.

Run equal 0-180 km/h and 40-180km/h with a 996 GT3 last weekend.

(Both runs I gained some few meters.)

3.0Turbo 8V 1.4 bar

Don't want to be rude, but that sounds a bit slow for a 3l turbo at 1.4 bar??
What mods do you have?

IMO Acceleration is the only real-world figure that sums up best how fast a car actually is.

Since acceleration is universally measured in g (1 g = 9.81 m/s² at sea level) I would use a g-meter and note down peak numbers in, say, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear.

No more needs here to wonder about weight, tyre sizes, air intake temperature, etc.

I for sure would find more interest in in-gear acceleration curves than in PW/TQ curves to get an idea of a car's straight line potential.

Agree.

A friend drives equal to a GT3 with a 3L 8v @ 1.25bar. He even pulls him a little bit. He was on his tail around the track as well Pretty cool stuff.
