Some time ago I dynoed a car on the same day , approx same temp , same county and in the order first Dynojet , second Mustang and last I used the MAHA, all done by reputable shops with experienced operators.
The results had a spread of almost a 100 whp , yeah that's right,a 100 whp difference on the dyno sheets and from then on I judged, what some here call " a proven properly calibrated scientific instrument far ahead of NASA and the 21st century" chassis dynos as a comedy act.

That is a young pic of Turbox - I think Luis has a more contemporary picture of him.....

Special,
what surprises me is that listers, here, still look up to your arrogance.

You, of course, will be using race gas.

What amazes me is your apperent ignorance of your own egregious arrogance. To say nothing of your condescending troll like posts on this board.
Frankly I couldn't care less about what he runs. Why what he does with his car is so important to you forces me to wonder if your issue is jealousy, or personal failure?

ehall,
I agree that if I ever would find myself to be jealous of Special Tool, I would consider that to be a huge failure as a human being.

Forgive me if I just want to keep it real so that impressionable 951 enthusiats don't buy into some of the BS that gets posted. I hardly think that's being a condescending troll.
If anything I should question your assessment capabilities and issues you might have.

I thought you were hooking up with Jimbo, you two would make a lovely couple, just keep the discussion focused around dyno runs and stay away from MAF and larger injectors.

Sorry couldn't resist that

Well...

I've read every page, whew...some fast numbers!!!

I thought for ****s and giggles I'd run my 92 toyota.

0-60...12.3 seconds
20-60...9.3 seconds
Haven't tried 20-80 or anything yet...

pretty fast, ehh?

You know, Turbo Tommy and Tool. You two should be the poster boys for this whole forum. You guys disagreed. Poked a bit at each other. Held your cool. Ending with mutual disagreement AND respect. My hats off to you both. I get my car back tomorrow, I'll let you guys know what my time is.

It, by itself, will do absolutely nothing for additional power; and certainly has nothing to do with VE.
So upping boost from 18 to 24 psi gives no power...damn.... VE is about how much you cram in the cylinder each time, and keep there. Increase boost, and the VE will increase. Now,if we're talking of if this is an effective way of increasing VE...I don't think so. It's always better to make a very efficient engine (high NA VE engine) and then boost it than "just cranking up the boost". By the way,if Tool's turbo has a decent efficiency (and I guess it has) Mr. Lutjens won't need much more than about a 109% VE naturally aspirated ( ending at 248-ish VE under boost) to make his power.

But those who actually have done these tests will testify that bringing the timing to absolute optimal will not even remotely yield "magical" power outputs if the timing was already basically in the ballpark before.
I've seen a 5-degree jump in ignition yield 60 hp...ok,maybe it wasn't in the ballpark, but,it did give a gain. And a solid one at that.
Also, you could even argue that the ignition advance which is optimal for the dyno probably wouldn't be when it's on the street.
Agreed...if we're thinking peace of mind,I'd back off a degree or two.
