Default WHEELS questions

How do I know if a wheel is a replica?

I was looking at these miglia cups and was wondering if they are meant for just looks or actuall performance. They weigh 33lbs, is that heavy for 18in wheels?

Can someone shed some light for me, thanks.

Mille Miglia Cups are replica's. 33lbs is EXTREMELY heavy. My CCW's are 17x9.5 and 17x10.5 and weight approx. 18lbs each.

So in the case of those wheels, they are for looks. Plus 18's blow for performance unless you need them to clear your brakes (ala GT3).

shucks, they looked so perdy too. Is there a place that sells porsche OEM 993turbo twist wheels? I must start a new search, I just love the look but dont want some flamboyant replica nonsense. thanks for the quick reply.

Ebay or wheelenhancement.com
Personally, I'd look on Ebay first. Wheelenhancement has very nice new OE or repainted(repaired) OE wheels, but you're going to pay big $$ through them.

Before I get going with my search I need to ask this. Will 18" hurt the performance? I plan on 300rwhp eventually. Also, do they make the OEM 993 t twists in 17" ???

I talked to Fabian at Roock USA last Friday. Roock USA is coming out with a GT3 10 spoke in offsets for the 944 Turbo. Says he will send me pics as soon as he gets back in town.
