About how much hp does the stock clutch withstand? I'm about to do some modifications to my car this winter and I'm worrying about my clutch. Do you think I should change the clutch now because the clutch maybe doesn't withstand much hp increase or should I wait for it to break before I change it? It works flawlessly now, but I guess the added hp will increase the wear of it..
What clutch updates do you guys recommend?

The standard response you will find is about 340rwhp. It could be a bit less. YMMV

I hope to get 70-80K miles out of the Cup sport disk. Anyone know a good estimate for the Cup disk? The previous disk with the 6 little springs only lasted me 42K miles.

The PO replaced the cluch on my current car, around 4-5 months before i purchased it from him.
Now, i drove the car when the clutch was replaced, with under 200kms on it. The clutch pedal was so smooth and soft to the point that i thought my foot is going to stick out of the firewall.
Thing is, later on (when i got the car) the clutch was chattering on idle and when engaged. Looked back at the bills, he took it to one Porsche specialist that just don't know jack $hit about 944's. There were also several 944 owners, who reported bad labour on this shop when it came down to their clutches as well.
Clutch is fine, pedal is 'normal', it doesn't slip or anything, just sometimes an embarissing chatter. If i replace this, i would go for a 930 Disk and KEP pressure plate (i believe Paragon sells this).

What clutch are you using on the "green hunter" btw?
I guess I'll keep the stock clutch until it breaks and look for a replacement after that!

Yes that's Puppan's Stage 4 ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The Green Hunter gets a Lightweight Stage 3 which is 20% percent lighter. Same torque capacity but spring loaded for a tad smoother engagement.
My suggestion is to keep the stock clutch and replace it when it's worn out. As long as you don't do lots of hard standing starts it holds up pretty good. My last performance numbers from "the Hunter" were done on a stock clutch.
But needless to say the clutch disc looked pretty bad when removed hehe...

That's the same clutch disk I have - and after 1000 miles, it softens a little and is really very streetable. Even without springs.
It does make noise with no springs, however.
