ALL safety recalls are still open and will be carried out free of charge, if the dealer here in Dubai was able to carry it out, i am sure it would be the same worldwide:

Interesting, so if the recall has not been performed yet on the car they will still do it free of charge? This could be realy good, as I don't think mine has had either performed, and I just noticed a very minor crack starting on the lower right front A arm.

Evan, if you have SM stamped on the arm, you could be good to go for swap out That's the subvendor code for the company that had the bad batch. Factory started hunting them down in August of 1988. If you go to the dealer keep us informed....interesting thought...as none of my 944's have even been near a dealer's service bay during my ownership.

I'll update the thread once I talk to the dealer. The one here in Tulsa is pretty good, so hopefully I'll actually get somewhere with it.
