MOPAR injectors, am I a clown?
Hi all.
I just bought Siemens/Deka injectors that was claimed to be 550cc at 3bar(43,5Psi). When I picked them up I was informed that they were part of a MOPAR performance kit that he had no use of anymore.
The number printed on the injectors is P4532586 and after some Googling I came up with this information from MoparSuperCenter
"These low impedance (2.4 ohms) injectors flow 52 lbs./hour @ 3.8 bar (55 psi) pressure. Designed for the Super 60 Turbo package, but can be used in any application requiring this flow capacity. Sold individually.
Super 60 + 40% injector"
I guess it is totaly clear that these are NOT what I want to install along with my Gururacing chips??

Whats wrong with them?

I guess these injectors flow to little to be used together with gururacing chips and their "55" injector setting on the FQS, that's what I think is wrong with them but I could be mistaken??

All injectors are rated at 3bar fuel pressure. As you state above, these injectors are rated at 52# at 3.8bar fuel pressure (approx 45# at 3bar).. If you want to get the flow of 55# injectors, you will have to raise the fuel pressure even higher than 3.8bar. Which means you will need an adjustable regulator..
Save yourself the trouble and get a set of injectors rated at 55#.

Ok, thank you, hopefully I can return them to the seller, after all he claimed they were #55's at 3 bar which they are not...
Guess I should have bought them from racetronix from the beginning...

Injectors are rated at all pressures. Not just 3B. Bosch rate their Injectors at 3 different pressures. Typically street engines run lower pressures, as the Injector size is on the small side, and the fuel demand lower.
I would add, run the higher pressure if possible. Get the regulator and run 5B. You get the flow you want and the engine likes higher fuel pressure. Unfortunetly, some Injectors don't, so ask those that know, which brand etc like to run at the higher pressures. Bosch are always good, as they are Pintle type, not disc type. Pintle type Injectors usually like the higher pressures and the disc types seem to lock up at times when running the higher pressures. Engines always respond when running higher fuel presures especially those with the Injectors low in the Intake.

M42racer, most injectors on the market are rated at 3bar FPR.. Changing the fuel pressure changes the flow rate (up to a limit).
On a 951 with the chips he has, the assumed fuel pressure is 3bar.

Contacted the seller, it was ok to return the injectors.
He was very eager to buy my stock Bosch "Green" injectors once I get proper ones. He was a Ford Cosworth guy and they seem to be popular among them, he will pay 130$ for them!
