Default Stock wastegate question

Ok, I wanna install my Lindsey MBC tomorrow. I note they want me to thread in a little fitting to the top of the wastegate to run the line right from there to one of the MBC ports. How easy is it to turn out the stock fitting? Or am I better off just cutting the hose coming off the top of the wastegate and putting a reducer in there to mate up with the lindsey mbc vacuum line?

I simply pulled the fitting off of the stock wastegate (15mm?), got rid of the old line, then installed the Lindsey-supplied line & secured it with a small hose clamp. When you remove it, be advised that there's an aluminum sealing ring on there. I then ran that line up to the MBC, which is located where the cruise control used to be, passenger-side engine compartment, just in front of the battery box.
