TPS micro switch
Has anyone found specs and/or a source for a replacement micro switch in the throttle position switch. Its cost is probably less than $2. I have search and it appears the process is to replace the unit at about $100. If I knew the part number etc of the micro switch I could repair my TPS. Thanks

Cleaning it might work. Otherwise, no theres no known source of the microswitch.

Can you verify the potentiometer part of your TPS is working well? I might be up for a trade since "where I'm going" I won't need the microswitch.

The switch plunger is stuck, I spent an hour bent over the engine spraying it with crc and pushing the plunger, it came out once. Inside the unit looks new, did not meter it..no need..plunger stuck.
I am surprised no one on this site has not just replaced the micro switch vice whole TPS unit. I have emailed Pelican about purchasing just the switch, awaiting a reply.

not much cheaper, but we can do better than your local: http://www.paragon-products.com/prod...80.120.400.htm
From experience, simply opening the TPS without completely destroying it is quite a chore. I sincerely doubt the switch itself is available separately, but you never know what a little whittling and soldering can do with generic parts. Probably more trouble than most are willing to go through.
Good Luck!
