Default anyone fitted oil squirters to a 944 before?

any racers hardcore streeters have oil squirters to cool the piston on your turbo/race car?

and if anyone has thought of it. how would you go about doing it. is there an easy place to tap into? normal ones from other factory cars look like a banjo bolt screws right into a gallery of some kind and feeds a line with a hole in it which points up.

This was used in the 968

There was an article in exellence about a 600hp 951 race car that adapted this technology from the 968

Yes it is possible and has been done on a 2.5 liter, you obviously need to machine the block and source the squirters from somewhere.

And it never even made 600 horsepower.

You can get the squirters from Porsche. There are 2 verions, one for $12-15 the other for $25-30..
The trick is to mount them properly, which means the machinist will have better luck copying the 968 arrangement.

I think the pintle size is different. One of them is a 930 part# the second a 964.. Never could find the 968 part.

A guy named Garrity (Motorsports LLC) in Salt Lake has done a few 2.5 jobs... he hangs on the 928 list. Maybe I can get him to sneak over this way and give a few pointers...

I have a 951 block with Garrity oil squirters/oil mods in it. I understand through him that the 930 # is what is used in the 968. Here is a pic - you can see the squirters in the bottom of the bore:

This block is for sale - ready for a 3.0 build!
