Default Making a Frankenturbo

I just got a nice lead on a k27 turbo (used) in good condition, but the hotside turbine has a bad blade. I think this is not such a big deal since I have a dead k26/6 sitting downstairs that has a bad compressor side (something went through it) but good turbine / hot side. What's involved with transplanting the hot side from the dead k26 onto the body of the k27 to make myself a nice kickin' k27/6? I imagine this can be done on a workbench pretty easily, right? Can anyone recommend a good place for balancing (with prices) or should I just send both turbos to them and have them do the Frankenturbo build with new seals and such?

I've had great results from Majestic Turbo. Sent one turbo to them for a rebuild and also bought two new ones from them.

I'm not sure what they would charge to just balance but I'm sure they can give you an idea over the phone.

Might get some compressor surge or backpressure issues with the #6 hotside.

Make sure you ask Majestic about it.
