Default Dyno - Vitesse AFM (K26/8) chips@15psi

1988 TurboS, stock save vitesse chips/FPR/reliaboost and cone filter.
Boost set to 15psi, but it was falling off to 14psi@6000rpm.
Wayyy rich in the 4-5K rpm range.
(I suspect a weak stock wastegate is causing both problems)

On the street I have no problem holding 15psi to redline. On the dyno, boost buildup was lousy (no boost until 3000rpm) and falls-off at higher rpms...

Anyways... here's the charts:
[run #2 was aborted; I tried to change the boost level, but turned the reliaboost the wrong way. Oops ]

You are way off on the power. At the moment I'm unable to upload a dyno chart for the 951S. Someone recently posted their chart at 15.5psi - totally different curve and performance. Do a search..

Shim the WG or use a dual port WG. Double check for vacuum leaks!

edit: Evan G. is the one that posted the dyno!

I was thinking the same thing. My K26/6 dyno'd about the same with so-so Guru chips and a leaky wastegate to crossover connection.

You should be ~30-50hp higher I think.

That seems really weak. I'd expect you to be around 270-280rwhp...

With the AFM if boost drops and the chips expecting more flow (especially at the top end) it will run rich.

I have a 951S, the PO dynoed it a few years ago. I KNOW that it has a Bursch test pipe and Weltmeister chips (& new FPS), but I think since it has two curves and they are quite a bit different that it must have a restrictor of some sort in the banjo bolt. The runs show a bar pressure "tapers" to a second bar pressure. I'm not 100% on that, but I think it is saying what max boost was and where it lowered to at redline from that point. I still dont know FOR SURE about the restrictor and I haven't looked at the wastegate yet either. I havent had my car long and Ive been doing a lot of other work on it. Its in good shape tho, 91k.

1.1 bar = 16 psi
0.9 = 13 psi
0.75 = 10.9 psi

In Google, type (number) (unit) in (unit) and it converts. Very Very helpful. Google rocks!
