Fitment of Boxster wheels to 951S?
Ok, so I bought a set of Boxster twist wheels. Then my friend (who also has a 951) told me the front boxster wheels aren't a direct fitment on my 951S. Something about the dust cap getting in the way.
What's the solution here? Can the dust cap be modified? Is this really an issue? I thought all late offset wheels fit fine...

I am doing almost the same thing today
I am fitting 2001 boxster twist wheels to my 87 951
The rears fit no problem.
The fronts do not bolt right on.
What I have done is purchased the following
1. 2ea 7 mm wheel spacers from Paragon. $25 ea
2. 10 ea 66 mm wheel studs longer studs stock is 52 mm for my car?
measue you studs the book say's 45mm mine are 52mm. Paragon $57.10
3 4 ea rotor to hub screw twice as long as the OEM screw Ace Hardware $1.00
4 10 ea steel lug nuts OEM alloy lugs will not fit once you go to longer studs.
Paragon $14.oo
4. Dust cap may need to be trimmed to fit in order to fit center caps.
Take your time and make sure wheel is flush with spacer.

I think what you have to do is modify the dust cap. (your talking about the one that covers the wheel bearing or the one on the rim)
