I used to own a 95mustang cobra and im in disbelief that my turbo s feels and is so much faster. Mustangs are pieces of crap compared to these cars. Everyday the car amazes me more and more. What are the best mods to start with? How loud are the SFR cat back exhausts on the highway? Are they real droney on the highway at high rpms or is it only loud when u get on it? I just cant get over this car and its abilities i wish i had bought one years ago.

Your S probably not only feels faster, but actually IS faster than your Mustang. Add some very basic mods and it will be one of the fastest cars around, specifically:
Chips (Vitesse) and test pipe
As to how loud the SFR exhaust is, I'm not sure. I can tell you that I've got an Ansa muffler and test pipe and the car is still very quiet inside.

A friend in my RX7 and me in my 951 were doing a little spirited driving on a freeway. He told me that the exhaust doesn't sound like a 4 banger. He said it has a "wicked" growl that reminded him of a big block. I have the Speedforce Racing exhaust and am very happy with the result. I had a Honda Prelude with a big exhaust and it would drone all day long. My 951 is nothing like that. It's fairly quiet during normal driving but has some throat when I get on it. Plus it will help you make more power. What more could you want?

I had a SFR cat back w/ the Bullit muffler and sold it because I thought it was too loud. What is considered "too loud" or "too stiff" is largely subjective. I couldnt carry on a normal volume conversation w/ a passenger and that made it not worth it. Shouting at people right next to you sux. I have a 3" to a baffeled muffler (not strait through) and a test pipe now and it's throaty but just a slight din above stock at cruising.
I'm glad to see you got in on the secret (951's)!

I have a fabspeed 3" turbo back and it's not loud just driving around, but if you get on it, it's pretty loud. It'll definately turn heads. Sounds wicked at the track tho! Lots of pops and gurgles under decel and shifting.

As many of the steady hands here can share, there seems to be a set of several basic good mods.
In addition to a chip, many 951S owners experience improvements in performance by going over the entire vacuum system and replacing aging OE hard plastic with high temp replacement hose. Other common mods include regaining control of wastegate operation with a combination of dual port gate, boost controller (manual or electronic) and a gauge combo of mechanical boost gauge and A/F ratio meter. You can spend a lot more after that on MAF and turbo plumbing, but these first three steps can keep the hair on the back of your neck well elevated.
