Default Turbo Water pump died?

Did my water pump for the turbo just take a ****? When i got back to work from lunch i heard this high pitched wine.. i'm like "WTF?" opened the hood... hmm stuck my hand on the lil aux water pump and could feel it whining. Unplugged it and it went away. Plugged it back in a lil while ago, no whine but havn't drove it yet.

Its done this once before, is it going out? If so, does anyone have one i can buy? Paragon wants $208 for a new one, thats way to salty for me.

Damn, you're having crappy luck Are the timer and the pump one unit? Sounds more like a timer to me (or relay of some sort).

Try messing with the temp. sensor for the pump (infront of the intake manifold), twist the connector a few degrees (it turns!!) see what happens.

Nissan uses a similar Bosch pump. same exterior deminsions but a differnt connector. I dont know the price from the dealer though. They are on the heater for new (05) Pathfinders and on the Quest minivan.

I have a used pump off a 75K 951 that works fine. It came with a motor I bought from Todd of Tennessee. How does $50 sound? Let me know....

If it's the relay instead of the pump, you're in for a rude surprise: The relay is almost as expensive as the pump itself (ask me how I know).

Just out of curiosity, if i unplug the pump will coolant still get to my turbo?

My friends think no but i think it will, the pump just states it runs after car is shut off.

Nevermind, answered my own question.

If the pump keeps running, there is a small temperature sensor near it, try twisting the connector 90 degrees or so. Mine does that, just twist the connector and it works fine.

Havn't had a chance too, it runs right but is loud. I'll play with the sensor tomorrow am.

If it is just loud, the pump itself is going bad. Sensor has nothing to do with the sound the pump is making.

try George at 944ecology. He can probably get you a good used, tested one for a good price and fast ship.
