Gotcha.

IF you want the best... put asbestos wrap! NOTHING is more efficient (but be carefull when installing, try not to inhalate too much...if possible)
PS: I always like the flame that will come after that ; )

I had ceraminc coating done. Prety good rates, and helps seal and small exhaust leaks.
www.hyperkote.com
This palce also onw can coat internal engine parts.
I went with ceramic as opposed to wrapping as I was shown before and after temp drop results on the headers. Was like 200+ degree drop.
This shop also has heat dispersing coatings as well. For IC or intake, etc.

I never heard of this happening to the exhaust manifold; only the turbine to exhaust pipe.

Right, but the hotter the temps are to the turbo, the hotter the temps will be after the turbo. Don't get me wrong. I've got my headers wrapped all the way up to the turbine, so I'm obviously not too concerned. It's just an argument some have made in the past.

I never thought of that as I have a test pipe and removed the affected pipe (it was collapsed) but for those with stock systems, it is well worth bringing up.

I personally would, and did, go with Jet Hot Sterling, both in and out
I did this because there are a number of guys on this board that I respect and that are very knowledge
that used Jet Hot also
It is a ceramic coating not as heavy as Swain ( I didn't want to remove my heat shields & the swain looks like a mummy )
I will dig up a jpeg of it and post
It also is very reasonable ... I paid like 100 bucks Which is pretty cheap
As for who to ask for at Jet Hot, Matt is the guy who helped me he is a
great guy.
Regards
Ed
