Default XP: Painted intake bits.

While the head was off for a HG replacement, I decided tio dress up some engine bits. I used Dupli-color 500deg paint and clear (the cam housing still needs clear).

Looks good. I used the same paint on my cam housing. That was 2 years ago and it still looks like I painted it yesterday.

How did you get the Porsche lettering to be aluminum?

You can mask it or just buff off the top layer of paint after spraying. I masked.

I did the whole thing in black, then went at the letters with various sanding tools to smooth them out and get the paint off. A big belt sander made pretty short work of it even with 80 grit wood paper Then I did a palm random sander thingy with finer grits, and finally some 600 grit I think with a block.

I painted mine white. I did the letters first then masked them while painting the red.
