Mine is not a daily driver, but if it were I could live with the shutter. Not too bad as long as you modulate (is that the right word?) correctly.

My S2 is exhibiting that exact symptom... judder when releasing the clutch after downshifting into 2nd without rev matching.

I just assumed it was a sign the clutch was on the way out, but I'll take a look at the hangers.
