Why wouldn't you want one? OMG MORE WEIGHT

even with the ring there is still a lot of presure there and with out a gasket it will most likely leak.

This is the thing, you are not supposed to put one in, as the seat ring compresses to mount flush with the flange. That surface is NOT supposed to have a gasket. The valve will smack the crap out of the gasket and in a month it will be in pieces and you will have a nice leak. Mine leaked after I had an exhaust shop look for leaks, I didnt know they put a gasket in, then a month later, massive leaks. The next shop said, hey dude, you got a gasket n here, no wonder! I was pissed, but at least can pass on the goodness.

Is there a gasket there - that's what I am saying, I can't remember what was supplied in that kit.

Also - Ian, you are a bonehead.

Don't mind Jim. He is just nervous that my festiva will smoke his 951 some day soon.

The kit did come with 2 gaskets but you definitely just sounded like you know there is not supposed to be a gasket in there. YET you put the gasket in mine. grrr I'm going have to take that damn exhaust apart hahah.

This comes a little late as I put my Tial on a couple of weeks ago. Two gaskets in the kit and two gaskets went on the car. No instructions to the contrary....Damn.

The gaskets go between the Tial and the adaptor plate, I think NZ (banned again?) was talking between the adaptors and the exhaust. The gaskets from SFR were quite cheap and fail allowing the WG to fall off, but i think they may have changed them now.
