Default 951 headers

does any one out there know of any type of high performance header system for the 951? or of any aftermarket pipe going from the headers to the turbo? Ive got to replace it anyway, I figure I might as well upgrade instead of staying stock. Thanks

I think GHL have some too, but don't quote me on that! They're on the sponsors page

How is your engine setup? Is it stock or modified? Do you have plans to change it?

As far as I remember neither Tim or Dave are claiming any power gains with their headers. The stock headers and crossover can make 500 hp and they have heatshielding which is a plus for more than one reason. You also get a two year warrenty on the parts from Porsche. I just had this conversation with a customer today. Unless your trying to make big hp, stay with the OE headers, you will be much happier. Especially in the wallet.

I highly recommend the SFR Stage 2 ones. There was a fabulous write-up on them in European Magazine too. Look at that site, for they have the article still up, I think?

They are very pretty. However, the only problem is that "bling" won't last long with the hot temps over the years. It will turn and fade over time. I looked into that finish myself, but, I wanted something that would resist high temps and last long. So, I went with a thermal coating that's rated for 2200 degrees.

They arent chrome, they are 321 stainless, a whole different ballpark. And they are GORGEOUS. If I was going to invest more into my car I'd get them. But I'd actually like to buy a decent daily driver.

As has been said, the stock headers are pretty damned good, and can probably be repaired, rather than buying new ones.
