Default Oil cooler line cost / replcacement time

So my oil cooler lines are dripping, badly enough that they wont pass me for a track inspection.

They've quoted me 4 hours, and about $110-$120 for the genuine hoses:
951.207.113.03
951.207.111.03

Nowhere seemed to have them

Any suggestions on where to get them cheapee, and whether 4 hours seems right ?

I changed mine when I did my oil seals. I got mine from 944online.com if I recall -- they were about $100 each is I recall. 4 hours is long time for a pro mechanic just to change the lines, but he may be counting in hassle time when the hoses get stuck and refuse to come off. I had to cut mine and remove the oil thermostat housing from the car in order to the stubs fittings off. Its a messy unfun job.

yeah we got one of the lines and it was about 100$. It took about 1-2 hours to replace the one just because its a pain to get to. Mine was leaking from rubbing on the water pump and it maid a pin hole leak. My leak was pretty bad but the new hose comes with a spiral plastic thing around it so that problem won't happened again

Yeah, my mech was basing the stimate on doing the same thing on a Merc. Sounds like the hose price and the time are reasonable.

Call Hennessey Porsche for the factory lines. I bought one for less than $50 if my memory serves me correct.

OK, the shop ordered them before I saw the Hennessy post. I no longer want to know if they're available cheaper

Then I won't mention that you can also have them made by just about any place that repairs hydraulic equipment. I don't know what the cost would be, but it's an option.

I asked them about that. Apparently the hose ends are funky curved metal tubes which would hav eto be re-used. Their concern was that if the connector was also on it's way out, I would have gone through four hours of labour for nothing.

They are metric fittings and tubing. I had a local shop weld a 37 degree fitting onto the old tube, but the hose was too big and inflexible to work....so it was buy new factory hoses.

If you could get adaptors that threaded into the filter console, you could make something work. I have never seen the correct size adaptors though.
