Yup. Given the looks of that wastegate, I'd just replace it with a Tial. There is no way that rusty old dog is still properly holding boost after all these years. Forget about any type of shimming scenario -- those bolts and studs are going to snap for sure when you try to take it out.

I believe it its the one for the bracket. Doesn't seem to rattle or anything. I changed the fuel filter tonight and was looking to see how hard it would be to install the LR dual port wg and noticed it missing.

I'm only showing 1.6 bar on the stock boost gauge and thought maybe this might be the culprit. My guess is the stock wg is just getting a little weak.

Go order a tial 38mm, and make sure it is the one that comes with adaptor plates, a case of beer and some bandaids.

Keep in mind I have never used the Lindsey WG, but I don't like the idea of a modified stock WG. The tial is pretty much bolt on, providing you have the adapter plates. IMO it is the way to go.

PM the user "MySwiss"

Name is Steven, and he is a really cool guy to work with. Always helps me out with super quick shipping when I find myself in a jam.

But Ted
From what I understand the only difference in a WG is the diaphragm/spring?
Unless I am missing something ...
I am no fan of Lindsey or any other vendor for that matter...

I think lindsey is pretty decent, in fact I just ordered a ton of stuff from them. I was told from several reputable tuners not to get any modified internals stock WG. The general consensus was "don't mess around, get a tial." Maybe someone who knows more about this can chime in?

(I will say that I heard as far as modified stock WGs go, lindsey has the best one. Oh, and I just sold them my old beat up WG for $100. )
