Default How should I modify throttle return spring to fit T04e turbo?

I am installing my T04e 50 trim and have run into the issue of my throttle return spring (TRS) sitting too low on the throttle body. So now my intake manifold sits about 1/4 of an inch to high. I figure that if I relocate my TRS my intake manifold will sit just low enough, I hope. So where/how should I relocate it? Anyone who has done this I would love to hear your thoughts, shoot even if you haven’t done it and have an idea feel free to speak up.

I've attached a picture to help show the problem. The red arrow points to where the throttle return spring’s bracket hits the top of the compressor housing.

Thanks in advance,
John

On my car we shaved of a few mm off the throttle body where the bracket for the spring attaches. We also filed down the screws. It's a tight fit, but it works.
A friend of mine moved the braket to just under where the intercoolerpipe enters the TB.
I've got a picture of it at home.

Grinding off 1/2 of the screw head worked for me also.

I countersunk the hole in the support bracket and found a flush head bolt to fit the diameter which buys a couple millimeters. I then shaved off some of the material on one of the protruding parts of the To4e which gave enough clearance

I removed the bracket and connected the spring to the bracket for the turbo
water pump. I just punched a hole in the bracket and looped the end of the spring into the hole. You could also mount a long #8 bolt on the turbo
water pump bracket and double nut it. Loop the end of the spring on it.

Aww jeez Ed, a day late and a dollar short, I ended up bending and cutting it just like rob and jeremy did. :b Thanks for the link though.

And thanks Eivind for the advice, I wasn't sure it would work till I saw your post.
