Default Can you log boost with a LM-1?

Anyone?

I know it has the inputs but how would you make it work? Or could you?

Mine is still in the box but boost is just MAP pressure and you can log that (with a suitable sensor). That's assuming you have the inputs - I have the "Aux Box" for mine so I'd expect to be able to.

I just ordered LM-1 with RPM. The RPM module has provisions for RPM logging and 4 extra inputs.

I was thinking TPS could be one but how would I set it up to log boost?

Buy a pressure sensor and put it in the intake or what?

That's my understanding. I need to run MAP for my standalone system so I'll piggyback off that sensor. It will be 2 or 3 weeks before my car is ready for the installation of the LM-1 though.

When you say MAP sensor are you talking about the traditional MAP that is used to meter fuel or is there a different needed for boost pressure?

I have a MAF getting ready to go onto the car.

I just mean a MAP sensor to describe a sensor measuring the manifold pressure, there is no need to use it for air/fuel control if you have a MAF. Maybe you could T-into the KLR boost line or something?

Yeah I could T off of the KLR signal. I plan to use for my boost gauge. But what can I use to measure the pressure.

Ah, I see the question. 0-5v sender perhaps originally for oil pressure? I don't need to get anything as my standalone came with the MAP I can piggyback off.

Lucky. The MSD one they talk aobut in the post is $60.99.

And it only reads to 20 psi.

Had the on the wrong post. I think fen and I are the only ones who are following this.

The AuxBox has an integral MAP sensor that you can log boost very easily with. Without it, just use a GM MAP sensor into an analog input and adjust internal scaling.

do you have a source for for the GM map?

And what is the max that it reads?

Pic a suitable MAP sensor (2.5bar is recommended). Keep in mind that most MAP sensors work on 5Vdc (instead of 12Vdc).

So I need a voltage reducer of some sort.

Where can I find different MAP sensors?
