Default AOS Hard Pipe and Intake Q

I'm in the process of finshing up my headgasket, and while I was down there I figured I would remove the CV at the same time. My question is, once I remove the CV, is there any way I can remove the metal 3 tube supply line(The one with 2 small hoses and one big one). If I can, can I just run a new hose from the AOS to the intake and be done with it? If not, what can I do?

Great walk through. One other quick question which is probably stupid. Does the brake booster check valve need to be inline at the t-fitting on the hose that goes from the brake booster to the manifold, or can I just run 1 long hose without the t fitting and get vacuum supply for that check valve from another source?

Anyone have any idea about the brake booster check valve, and if it needs to be inline on the brake booster hose?

I take it you busted the nipple off the T eh? I think laust made a bunch of those out of metal, and they are cheap. Do a search for his vacuum manifolds, it is in one of those posts.

Sorry for the OT question
But Doc could you get me a fairly accurate estimate as to how much 3/4 line I need from the AOS -
the ( J boot -not stock ) that uses a cone filter and fits behind the drivers side headlight ) ?
This hose I found can convey oils well but is like 4.00 a foot. Too little and I have to throw it away too much and its throwing money away ...:-(
Thanks in advance
Regards
Ed
EDIT
Can 5/8 be used instead of 3/4 ? This is Earl's Superstock Hose ...
Its actually 4.85+ a foot for the 3/4 and
3.31 for the 5/8 ....
thx

Actually, I didnt break the T fitting. However currently I have a hose long enough to go directly from the manifold to the brake booster. So if I can avoid can having the brake booster check valve between there then I would like to do so.

P.S: Lausts vacuum manifold is awesome, I have one and highly suggest it.

Why not just cut the line in half and put in the fitting? Or are you running it a shorter route?

Karl:

I am interested in your writeup but your page won't load. I tried to get it last night and it asked me for a username and password. Am I doing something wrong?

EDIT - Got it. Nevermind
