Default Part II of our ongoing series: How much can you stuff in the back of a 951?

About 6 weeks ago I posted this thread on stuffing ski gear in the back of a 951.
Today, I had to take the 951 to my mechanic for some A/C work. My wife is away and none of my friends were available. My son offered to give me a lift back home. Unfortunately I had to remind him that he's still 15 and thus cannot yet drive. He was, quite understandibly, disappointed and so when I asked if he thought I could stuff a bicycle in the back of the 951, he immediatley vetoed the idea saying: No way, man! Well just to prove him wrong:

I just unhooked the front wheel and in it went.

I know

I have a full Yakima rack setup that just collects dust because I can always stuff my bike(s) in the cabin - more secure, better mileage, less wind noise . . .

Do that with a 911!

Funny story.

Until this year I drove my car to track events. I'm a pack rat, so always carried tools, extra set of wheels, cooler, luggage, chair, tarps, fluids, jack, helmet, etc. in the car, and that is with a full cage and race seats.

Arrived one morning at Watkins Glen and started unloading (and I had the car pretty full). After I finished unpacking, a lady (who's husband was driving; 911 of course) walked over and thanked me for making her morning (it was a cold morning, but I had no idea what she was referring to). She said she was so entertained watching me pull all of this stuff out of my car that she couldn't believe it. She was expecting a bunch of circus clowns to come out as well.

They can also fit two BMX bikes without removing the front tires. Both bikes also had pegs on one side. They can also fit everything from the engine compartment minus the engine block.

I moved a 60" dining room table with the legs removed and the hatch closed.

When moving to Indy, I filled the hatch area with motorcyle parts, homebrewing gear, clothes, etc. It took the poor shocks a couple days to recover.

While still in the Navy we used my car to make a Sam's run for a squadron party. We fit 10 cases of beer, 10 cases of soda, an assload of hotdogs, burger, buns plates, napkins, chips, etc. The guy that went with couldn't believe how much we fit.

About 60 bags of large Salsa Doritos. They don't have them in Canada, so I imported some myself from the states! Was shocked that customs didn't open up all the bags. They were all green, probably looked like the trunk was packed with weed. I guess we have better weed up in Canada, and they don't expect people to bring weed in haha.

I'll try to dig up the pic.

I got you all beat. Try moving from college in Michigan to Arizona with two poples things. From the back of the front seats to the roof and all the way back was full. Spare tire well and side compartments as well.

Assload and hotdog are two words that should NOT go together

4 pretty solid interior doors and 4 door frames packed separately (for the house that is) back when I still had the -84 NA.....well, the rear hatch didnt close of course so it was just tied down.
In the S2 I regularly stuff 5 110-litre bags with garden rubbish that I take to the local dump. It pretty much fills up the hatch area.....It's fun to see the faces of the other people who fit about the same amount in their big 4-wheel drive vehicles !
In the convertible, I can fit a sports bag and a squash racket - not much more...

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I guess the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy has been violated?
