Mark - no big deal take them off and weld them man. $60. They are 409 SS and any exhaust shop that does stainless can weld them blindfolded. When its done, wrap them with DEI wrap - it retains more energy than the factory heatshileds.

My headers are coming off to re-align my oil cooler housing. I'd like the check/have em checked for leaks... how should I do it. I will wrpa them after.

You are losing significant power with a leak. The best part of the small turbo is the area under the curve. If I was going to build a stock racer, I would concentrate on tuning the 1 bar spoolup down to 2500.
Let me see how low I can get it on Turbox's car - I am thinking 2300.....muhahahaha
