Default OT: How to generate smoke?

I plan on observing the air flow at the front, over and under the widebody 951. My goal is to have a source for smoke (safely, no fire) and use a large fan to blow air and watch what the flow looks like. Not perfect simulation, but good enough for what I'm after.

Anyone has a good idea on what to use for smoke?

I was going to say smoke grenades for paintball. They last a good 2-3 minutes and are about 10$ or so

Or... you could just buy a turbo from Majestic and pipe the exhaust out over the hood.

Search for "fog machine" on ebay. They were selling home versions last Halloween in every corner hardware store. Just an idea...

I was going to suggest the fog machine too. The liquid they use is pretty cheap too IIRC.

Do you guys have the San Fransico stores in the US? They might have them.

Ask your local fire station if they have a smoke machine to loan you, which they use for training. I can send you some free orange smoke from 3 minute lifesaving signals, they're expired of course but we use them for training. Only catch is when you pull the plug, you have 3 minutes of smoke but it's easy to see
