Ian, I've tried running the valve the other way around, but noticed no difference. This was before, when I hade a few vacuum leaks and the car wouldnt boost 10psi until 4000rpm.
The valve doesn't clear the hood when installed that way. I have a dent in my hood to prove it. I'd rather not make another one.

Eivind, this is going to sound ghetto but it's what I use - put a drop of sealant (such as Sika if you have that in Norway) over the tb screw... it's a bit of a pain to dig out later on if you need to adjust the idle, but it works

Elvind,
Could you tell me how you made the plug inside the rubber turbo outlet pipe to pressurize the system? I just started my car and got it out of my garage two days ago since putting it in there last december. I did suspension ugrades and a few months ago jumped on a k27/6 that became available. I replaced all of the vacum hoses also except for two and removed the venturi under there also. The car is hesitating violently under boost like someone tied a rope to the back of the car and all of a sudden is pulling it backwards. I think I have to test for leaks. My idle is not that great cold and when its warm its good at 1100 rpm showing 15 hsg on my boost/vacum gauge.

Eivind, try few things (one at a time) and report any difference.
- disconnect/block the pressure line going to the WG.
- Install the factory BOV
Something is happening when you hit 12psi.. Need to find out what it is.

I don't have the factory CBV. I'll probably get in on the CBV group buy, but that will take a few days / weeks.
Can I run without the CBV (just for a couple of runs), or will this harm the turbo?

Yes you can run without the BOV (just for testing, few runs only). Do not slam the TB shut at once, gradually ease of boost (slowly close TB). This eliminates possible surge.
Also, I noticed that your boost pressure is slowly building up. At 2500rpm you should be making 5psi or so.

Start looking at the WG. Also, on your turbo, the compressor housing has a hole that can be used to read boost or it must be plugged. Make sure it's plugged if not in use.
