Default Dyno tuning the a/f ratio

So I'm taking the car in to the dyno shop to see what my a/f ratio is and to tune it for 17psi. I am assuming that setting boost to 17psi and raising or lowering the fuel pressure per a/f senser is what I need to do. Or do you need a piggyback or something else? I'm just confused about the whole fine tuning thing! By the way, my chips are mapped for 17psi.
Thanks
Josh

Using your FPR will only change fuel across the total range of the fuel map. An adjustable FPR is basically a crude way of increasing the effective flow of otherwise undersized injectors. You should NOT tune off a FPR. You need a piggyback or standalone to more accurately tune your car, such as a Vitesse MAF or SFR MAP kit. In doing this, you can change the fuel (and other thngs) in specfic zones...

PS you should just get the number and AF in your dyno run and only raise the fuel pressure if your are lean across the entire load range. Also, maybe you should list your mods...

Ok, my mods are just vitesse chips, tial, accuboost, adjustable fpr, and cv delete. It seems that theres so much stuff to buy to really tune the car. I mean, I already need to get a wideband gauge and really should look into a piggy back setup. I guess as long as the fuel is close, then I should just wait until I get a Stage 2 w/ piggyback down the road. I didn't realize I needed to fine tune the computer in order to max out my k26! Any thoughts?

You wont max out the K26 with your mods. Also, John would likely suggest you run under 15psi on pump gas on your setup I would think...

What else do I need to realize it's full potential? I plan on getting the spr 3" exhaust soon. I can hold 14 all the way to redline, and usually run 15-16. I should prolly track down porsshe951 ( John ), he did a pretty impressive job with his k26.

Or Laust... he ran very high boost with a water injection system. Your HP is limited greatly with a K26/6... and if you are changing it in the future, mod your car with the bigger turbo in mind...

For now, set your FPR at 3 bar with the vac line disconnected,
Set the FQS to pos 1 , boost to 15 psi and do a dyno run.
Verify your A/F doesnt go leaner than 12.5.
At that point., If you wish to dial up the fuel pressure and set the FQS
to the position for higher boost, give it a try. As long as you are no leaner than
12.5 you are good. I prefer to tune for 12.0 for safety.

Your set up is like mine so my bet is you will be OK, perhaps
a little rich which is safe.

If you wish to tune further, then you need Piggy back AND a wide band.
Or, you can tune at the chip level which is beyond the average guy.

I would do the dyno run, make sure the AF is OK, then leave it alone.

What Andrew said!!! The chip is pretuned for you, there are limitation to the amount of boost you can run safely. Follow the FQS instructions!!!
