H&R HD-1 Springs?
I just noticed while doing some work on the 951 that it's got H&R HD-1 springs up front. Anybody got any info on these? The car is an 88 Turbo S, so it had the M030 suspension to begin with, and I'm not sure why one of the previous owners would have changed them. How much better (if any) are the H&Rs over the M030 setup. I guess this does explain why the front is so much lower than the rear. Of course, the next question is how to lower the rear to better match the front?

Really? It looks like a knucklehead got to your car, man. He didn't do the rear because it is a long, difficult job to re-index the torsion bars.
I cut a 911-like hole in the side of my racecar just to make it easier to change springs.
You definitely should track down a set of the correct front springs.
I believe I would send an email to Sam Lin, for starters.

Anybody happen to know what the difference in rates is? I actually like the height with the H&Rs in the front (if I can get the back adjusted down), and the car rides and handles pretty good (both street and track) with them.
