Default Largest Tire Size?

I know Danno got 275's all around on his stock bodied 944 turbo, has anyone put 295's out back? (Fender flaring and die grinding consitutes "stock" body)

I've seen it done, 11.5 rears with 295/35/18 took quite a bit of work (grinding and hammering), and the right spacers.

My one setup uses 285/30's in the back. No fender rolling, grinding or other nonsense. If I stick with MPSC's when I get new tires I might try a 295/30. Should fit no problem because there is lots of room with the 285's. Front tire is a 265/30, but there is room to go wider as well. I just don't have the rims to do it.

my suspension = not stock

At what point does bigger... not mean better, even if the size will fit ?

For sure David, my setup is way wider than it needs to be. The car would be quicker around the track on smaller tires. It just wouldn't look as "impressive" sitting still in the paddock!!

I'll have pics and video up in a month or so? I think? Depends on when it gets finished.

Yeah, when I had my car running I had 265/40R17 S03's in the rear and could break em lose with no problem. Plus, who doesnt like alot of tire? I really just noticed while the car was on the trailer that it looked like I had a decent amount of room left between the body and the wheel/tire and wondered.

When it takes you 5 laps to get the tires up to temperature and you're loosing 5mph down the straights from the drag.
