Anybody using late offset wheels on early offset 951? Spacer size?

1st, Thanks for your time and effort to help. The rears are 9J X 17... Not a 10"...There are spacers on both front and rears which are bolted to the front & rear hubs. They appear to be OEM. The rears are 1"-1.5 " thick. Could I use a narrower spacer or none at all ? I'm not sure about the side offset in the rear but I haven't noticed a large difference . I think the rears are 3/8 -1/2 " beyond the outside of the wheel opening. but the tread is very near flush with the wheel opening. Thanks again Duff

Post photos of front & rear hubs without wheels mounted. The front hub looks like a spacer, but is not.
There are no factory bolt-on spacers. The '82-85 944na had a rear 21mm spacer that used longer studs.

I've suggested this year's ago.... Use various thickness of washers between your suspect wheels and hubs until they fit well. At that point order spacers in that thickness.
Does car have spacers now? If yes, remove them and perform steps listed above. If no, remove these wheels from your memory.

And, as he also mentioned, the factory did not mount a spacer, either slip on or bolt on, to the rear hub of any 944 turbo. Therein lies the rub...that is precisely why your 9" et15 wheels are not fitting properly.
