I did it a bit different. As you can see in the pic I found that the KLR tube fit very snug inside the platic tube for my gauge. The only way I could get the smaller tube inside the larger one was to use some lubricant....which was in the form of plastic cement.

I made a very neat T. However, there was a trick. I went down to the Prosche dealer and bought a new line. I then split the line, heated it up with a heat gun, and slipped the T in line.
I tried this with the old line, but it was too brittle. The new line it worked just fine. I have no hose clamps, other tubing, etc. Just a barbed fitting.
