Default j-boot broke!

ummmmm so when trying to pull the venturi mess off the j-boot, the j-boot broke. the area circled in red (the big rubber nipple that comes off of it) ripped right off the j-boot. what do i do? looks almost like the other nipple is about to break off, but its holding on for now...

Since your cycling valve has been deleted the only function of that hose is for crank case ventalation. You could try using RTV silicon to patch it or buy a new j-boot

yeah, its got the metal nipple still stuck in it, so im going to try some sort of glue for it. the nipple already holds in there pretty well, i would assume a good rubber glue would be as strong as it already was. it looks sorta like this (excuse the MS paint). the yellow is the brass nipple and the red is where ill apply the glue. some day ill have a MAF installed so i wont need the j-boot - hopefully some time soon!

Dude, get a new j-boot. I wouldn't trust that crap so close to the turbo. It's just not worth the risk.

97 at paragon.

im not too worried about it around the turbo because there's nothing to get sucked into the turbo. it would have to pull something 1.5" diameter through a .75" diameter hole.

Thats where mine broke. IIRC I was able to get a hoseclamp on there. I seem to remember also using a plastic barbed plumbing fitting that was able to get a good grab on it.

I ended up replacing it anyway when the part that clamps onto the turbo inlet fell apart
