Default Coolant Reservoir Condensation Normal?

After driving your car, fully warmed up, do you get condensation (droplets) on the inside of your coolant tank? I'm still trying to ensure my cooling system is fully sealed, and I am wondering if my 2-year old radiator cap is not holding pressure.

OK, maybe I'm paranoid. I added about a cup of coolant today. It was at max about 250 miles ago, so I'm just trying to figure out where the fluid went(assuming it wasn't just trapped air). I pressure tested the system and nothing leaked. However, I could not get the cap to hold more than 14psi on the tester, but am not positive the tester was sealing all the way. No mixing. HG and oil seals brand new.

"After driving your car, fully warmed up, do you get condensation (droplets) on the inside of your coolant tank?"

Only when filled with extremely cold, very dry, Saphire Martini's, with a twist.

BTW did you ever get one of those Stant 270's and if so how did it work. TIA...I need to replace coolant tank when new gb radiator arrives. E

What's the ratio of water to antifreeze in the coolant mix? I've noticed that in my 83 when it had more water than antifreeze.

Well, after a spirited test drive, the car is now spitting-up coolant out the overflow. I was running sooo good too. Ugh. When does that new Z06 come out anyway...

Actually, that could explain the condensation -- I was running just a bit of coolant for the time being as I tested it... I seem to have bigger problems now however, sadly.

I get that same dewy condensation.
50/50 coolant/distilled water with a bottle of watter wetter.

Tom: It is normal for some condensation to be present.

the early radiators won't hold 13 psi. there's 2 different caps.
