Default hp and 1/4 mile stats for a stock 87 951 with an autothority stage 2 chip.

Just curious if anybody has info on stats for a bone stock 944 Turbo with an autothority stage 2 chip and a stock K&N air filter.I'm guessing if the 1/4 mile is between 13.8 and 14.4 for stock Turbo's,the chip will knock it into the mid 13's.
I'm a new rennlist member and 951 owner. These cars are very fast and fun to drive!

14.4 is the stock time and these cars are touchy to launch. Just the chips won't get you all that much.

An Autothority chip will probably give you slightly more power than a stock Turbo S which came with 247 bhp. The Turbo S (stock) did 0-60 in 5.5 sec and the 1/4 mile in about 14.0, so you may be a couple tenths faster (on paper).

Most advertised horsepower gains are what I like to call ILS numbers, If Lightning Strikes. Some car somewhere gained 48rwhp and most cars probably see slightly less than that. Horsepower gains depend on the weather, your altitude, how well maintained your motor is, how healthy your turbo is, what octane your gas is, whether your particular tank of gas has winter additives or water / condensation / other contaminants in it, what phase the moon is in, whether or not your girlfriend is hot enough to make the dyno operator play with the SAE correction ****, the list goes on...

If you guess 35-45rwhp, that's probably a safer bet.

Ben Wornall of the KCWS and Imagine Auto dyno'd his at 220.7 at the wheels at 12psi, or 258.8 per the 15% correction. I know he has the APE chips, stock intake, MBE, not sure what else, it's not a heavily modded car though. I think he might be doing it again when he gets a new wastegate so he can hold 15psi.

Quick Reply: hp and 1/4 mile stats for a stock 87 951 with an autothority stage 2 chip.
