I was a PCA member, I just forgot to renew this past November. I need to get on that for DE season and I want to be a corner worker at a club race or two.
By the way, I am (was) in the Central Indiana region. Although I haven't been associated for very long, I can say that the people I have met are very nice.

Race Director
I have been in the PCA since 1998. I was never an official, but get asked to be on the board a couple years back. I declined since I did not want to spend the extra time as I was starting my racing adventure back then.
In Arizona PCA is pretty nice group. There are a few yahoo's in the club, but most are pretty good. 944-spec racing in fact brought alot of good attention to the 944 here in Az. Our current President is a spec-944 racer and also has 320 whp 951. He also has a 964 Targa too. Or Autocross director has a 914 with 964 3.6L motor and a 993 (i think). Our DE Chair used to have 914, sold it for a 944 spec, sold that since some mediacal issues made it hard tor race, Then got 911 SC for autocross, Sold that due medial issues and the manual tranny. Got a 996 Tip, but yearned for track time so he got an old 914 from a club member who had upgraded is 914 to another 914 with 3.0L SC motor with 15" wheels and looks bone stock (talk about a sleeper).
Yep we have some good guys in our PCA region and few folks that run evens or the club in general are 911 snobs.

PCA member, but too remote from any particular region to be in any regional club. Nordstern is the closest, but their site doesn't list my zip code (55803) as being eligible. Since I have 2 cars, I guess I have to be my own club. I keep looking for other Porsches locally, but there aren't many.

The zip code to region mapping just determines the region into which you are affiliated if you do not choose a particular region. The PCA national site lists St Louis country (and all of Minnesota, for that matter) as defaulting to Nordstern.
We have several members in our region who would have defaulted to another region.
